Outdoor class

It's been over a year since the WHO announced the COVID-a19 pandemic. Since them, we all have gotten used to the new reality full of restrictions. But we all still need to experience human, face-to-face contact. We do miss old "normal", when we had enjoyed large gathering without the fear, without the face mask.

We all feel the difference after all those moths. But the biggest impact the new "normal" had on our youngest. They need to play, to learn, to have contact with their friends on daily basis for their bodies and brains to grow, to expand and to learn all the necessary physical and psychological skills. That's why all agreed, when one of moms form the youngest group had proposed to meet outside. The outdoor class took place at the Heritage Park in Flower Mound, TX on April 11, 2021.
There were no classroom desks, but each child had her/his own blanket to sit and work on. There were no textbooks. Instead some plastic eggs to help kids learn how to read.

After some brain work, there was time for some activities. There is a path in the Heritage Park with some sculptures of local animals. Mrs. Kasia told the stories and fun fact about each of those animals. Kids had fun playing dead, as possums do when the feel endangered. There was a lot of fun with following the caterpillars along the path.
Next was lunch time, with the parents, picnic style - on the blankets. Soon some talks about the animals followed. The kids said stories about their own animals, or some other that can bee see in the backyards. Everything in Polish, of course. There were stories to tell and the pictures to show.
